  • Leatherette Sample Sheets - Don't Ruin your Products Testing Settings

    Leatherette can be a bit tricky to engrave. Test your laser settings on sample sheets rather than your expensive tumblers and gifts. Choose from 6x6" squares or full 12x24" sheets.

    6x6 - May have no adhesive, our old style adhesive, or our new Kota Pro Adhesive. These are sold to text engraving settings only

    12x24 - Feeling crafty? Choose from no adhesive our our super durable Kota Pro Adhesive.

    Leatherette that engraves to black

    RECOMMENDED LASER RASTER SETTINGS:
    35 watt DPI 600 Speed 90% Power 35%
    60 watt DPI 600 Speed 100% Power 30%
    80 watt TROTEC PPI 600 Speed 90% Power 74%
    LASER VECTOR CUTTING SETTINGS:
    35 watt: Speed 20% Power 35% 50Hz
    60 watt: Speed 25% Power 25% 100Hz
    120 watt: Speed 85% Power 35% 2000Hz
    80 watt(Trotec): Speed 65% Power 40% 2000 PPI

    Leatherette that engraves to silver

    Laser engravers vary and adjustments may be necessary to achieve optimum results:

  • Suggested Heat Press Settings

    • Hotronix Fusion 360
      280 degrees top and bottom
      7 second prepress of hat
      35-40 Seconds with 6 pressure
      1/8" Foam
      Let cool for 15+ minutes

      GeoKnight Single Plate Hat Press
      Temperature: 300 degrees
      Pressure: medium
      Time: 30 seconds
      Place a paper towel on top of the patch when heat pressing to the substrate

  • Tips for best results

    1. Focus about 1/8 to 1/16" off the leatherette
    2. Cleaning should not be necessary with leatherette products. However
    if it is use a small amount of LA Awesome (part number = AWE32) on
    a microfiber towel.
    3. Use a Seklema Mat (or similar sticky mat) to hold down sheet.
